SUMMIT is approved by the Office of School Facilities for South Carolina, South Carolina State Engineers List, Army Corp of Engineers, Mecklenburg County Special Inspections Department, North Carolina Department of Transportation and other relevant agencies tasked with overseeing engineering and inspection services.
Our Government clientele has included the City of Charlotte, York County, City of Rock Hill, Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, Richland County Schools, Fort Mill Schools, Charleston County and Horry County Schools among others.
Charlotte-Douglas International Airport Concourse E

Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is one of the fastest growing airports in the United States. The Concourse E Expansion was expanded as part of this growth to include 18 additional regional service gates and over 35,000 square feet of additional terminal space. Our work on this project consisted of Construction Materials Testing for soil, stone and concrete and Chapter 17 Special Inspections for building foundations, reinforced concrete, masonry and steel construction.
York County Prison

Client: York County, South Carolina
The York County Prison expansion project consisted of the construction of an approximate 50,000 square feet 128-bed detention facility to serve York County. The structure was supported on a system of shallow foundations with masonry construction and structural steel framing. SUMMIT's services included performing Construction Materials Testing and Chapter 17 Special Inspections services for York County during construction of this project.
Fort Mill Middle School No. 4

SUMMIT was selected by Southern Management Group to provide a wide range of due diligence services for the proposed 240,000 square feet Middle School No. 4 in Fort Mill, York County, South Carolina. Our services included Geotechnical Engineering (subsurface drilling), Boundary Survey, Topographic Survey, Wetland Survey and Delineation, Phase I Environmental site Assessment and Grand Tree Survey services.
Horry County Schools

Scope: Hazardous Waste Removal

SUMMIT performed the Removal and Disposal of Hazardous Chemicals for Horry County Schools. SUMMIT was retained to inventory the hazardous chemicals, lab pack the chemicals and dispose of the chemicals for Horry County Schools. The chemicals were collected from fourteen schools throughout Horry County.
