The CMC Lincoln Medical Center Replacement Hospital will consist of mass grading of approximately 200,000 cubic yards of cut to fill for a three-story 184,000 square feet Main Hospital Bed Tower, Central Energy Plant and separate Medical Office Buildings consisting of two 40,000 square feet structures. SUMMIT was selected by Carolinas Healthcare System to perform Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Chapter 17 Special Inspections for this project.

The 45,000 square feet Mecklenburg Medical building creates additional medical support services through the Carolinas Healthcare System in the Matthews, North Carolina area. SUMMIT’s services on the this project included Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing for soil, stone and concrete and Chapter 17 Special Inspections for building foundations, reinforced concrete, masonry and steel construction.

SUMMIT was retained to provide on-call lead-based paint and asbestos inspection and air monitoring services for Carolinas Healthcare System's “Carolinas' Institute for Rehabilitation” during construction projects to upgrade their existing state of the art facility in downtown Charlotte.

The 40,000 square feet Prosperity Medical Office building was constructed to provide additional ancillary medical support services through Carolinas Healthcare System to the rapidly growing Northeast corridor surrounding the Highland Creek subdivision. Our services included Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing for soil, stone and concrete and Chapter 17 Special Inspections for building foundations, reinforced concrete, masonry and steel construction.
