SUMMIT hires Jason Coble, P.E. in Raleigh
Jason Coble, P.E. joins SUMMIT Engineering with over 9 years experience in Civil Engineeringand Geotechnical Engineering practices including transportation engineering, construction material testing, special inspections, project management, and getotechnical engineering. Mr. Coble has a BS Civil Engineering with a Concentration in Geotechnical Engineering from North Carolina State University and will be working in SUMMIT’s Raleigh office.

SUMMIT starts work at Innovation Park, North Parking Deck
SUMMIT has started work including Geotechnical Engineering, Materials Testing and Chapter 17 Special Inspections on the North Parking Deck at the Innovation Park project in north Charlotte. The new 4 level parking structure will provide much needed parking space and ease of access to the recently renovated former IBM facility. BECO is the project developer and Choate Construction is the project GC.

SUMMIT commissions two new drilling platforms for our Geotechnical Engineering Department. Our new geotechnical drill rigs include a CME 550x ATV rig and an International Truck Mounted CME 55HT rig. These two rigs will expand the capabilities of our Geotechnical department and allow for more efficient drilling, rock coring, in-situ sampling and site accessibility. SUMMIT now has a fleet of 3 Geotechnical Drilling platforms and two full-time drilling crews operating in the greater Charlotte, Raleigh and Columbia areas.

North Carolina Air National Guard hires SUMMIT for 9th time
