SUMMIT is working on the City Boulevard Extension and IKEA Boulevard as well as the remediation to the I-85 on/off ramps at City Boulevard. SUMMIT is performing quality control and NCDOT Construction Testing during all phases of construction for the proposed roadways. The 30-acre site is part of a larger 205-acre tract which Crescent Resources, LLC plans to develop a lifestyle center of shops, restaurants and residences.

The Charlotte Area Transportation System (CATS) South Corridor Light RailBlue Line” project consisted of the construction of the light rail transit system from Pineville, North Carolina to uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. During the multi-year construction of the 9.6 mile LYNX “Blue Line”, SUMMIT's services included performing Construction Materials Testing on structural fill, stone and asphalt testing, sampling and testing of concrete and Geotechnical Exploration services as part of a quality control program by Archer Western Contractors.

Client: Charlotte-Douglas International Airport

As part of the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport growth plans, the MESA Airlines project consisted of the construction of a new 41,000 square feet 747 aircraft maintenance hangar to include office and shop areas. SUMMIT performed Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Chapter 17 Special Inspections for the steel framed structure and associated site development and retaining walls.

Location: Monroe, North Carolina
Scope: NCDOT Construction Materials Testing Services
Client: Boggs Paving, Inc.

SUMMIT was selected by Boggs Paving to perform Engineering and NCDOT Materials Testing services during resurfacing and widening of Highway 74 in Monroe, North Carolina. Our work consisted of fill, stone, asphalt and concrete testing in conjunction with the NCDOT and City of Monroe.
